MISSTEP REACHES LATONIA DATONIA, Ky., June 18.— Misstep, Deo J. Marks Fairmount Derby winner, and the colt that finished in second place in the renewals of the Kentucky and American Derbys, in company with Mop Up arrived at Latonia this morning. The star son of Upset was shipped here from Arlington Park for the purpose of fulfilling his engagement in Saturdays forty-sixth running of the 5,000 added Latonia Derby. Mop Up also is also eligible for the. coveted Latonia fixture and while his racing as a three-year-old has not measured up to that of his illustrious stablemate, he is steadily improving and it is not altogether unlikely that he will also be a Latonia Derby starter. Misstep and Mop Up were quartered in the barn of J. N. Camden and until trainer Mose Lowenstein reaches here they will be in charge of Danny Stewart. Both stood the short trip in fine fashion.
