CARDO BLANCO began fast, showed the most speed in the going and held the race safe for the entire way. JOE MARSHALL raced into prominence at once and finished gamely. GOLDEN CLINT was away well and raced in close pursuit of the leaders, but tired badly. BREAK OF DAWN was close up in the early racing, but was taken back, then came fast through the stretch. LILLIAN T. began in a tangle and ran poorly in the going. ENTHUSIASTIC was always outrun. HOWARD LEE raced close up from the start, came fast through the last quarter and passed CAP-I ISTRANO with ease, winning easing up. CAPISTRAKO, from a fast beginning, showed the most speed and raced fairly well when ridden hard in the stretch. SCOOI* was close up throughout, but tired in the last eighth.
