I WOODBINE TURF NOTES ! $ $ TORONTO, Ont., May 25. Paul Ciceri, the Canadian sportsman, acquired via the claiming route the plater Golden Arrow, which he took from E. M. Byers out of the seventh race on Friday. Before leaving for Brookline today, Bayard Tuckerman. Jr., purchased the steeplechaser Mollie Elizabeth from C. C. Smithson. The consideration was said to be ,500. T. J. Healey. the head trainer of the Salmon-Wilson Stable, returned to New York this evening. Sunfire. Display, Companion, African and three others of the horses that were raced at the Woodbine have been returned to B ?lmont Park. Before leaving, Healey announced that African would be a starter in the Belmont Stakes. The division of the Salmon-Wilson Stable that will race in Canada will comprise twelve horses and they will, as usual, be under the supervision of J. R. Pryce. Black Diamond and Snowy will be among those that will carry the Wilson-Salmon colors on the tracks of the Canadian Racing Associations. Jockey L. Schaefer will remain over for the Thorncliffe meeting. Among the horsemen returning to New York are the Eastland Farms Stable, T. Mc-Creery and the Dorwood Stable. A division of the latter may be returned to Canada for the racing at Blue Bonnets. H. C. Hatch purchased the plater Contemplate from the Eastland Farms Stake this morning for ,500. Frank J. Bryan, who has been acting as handicapper and one of the stewards, departed for New York tonight. Louise Angevine, secretary of the Montreal Jockey Club, who has been here in the interests of his meeting, was well pleased with the manner in which the horsemen responded to the stakes that will be run at Blue Bonnets. Before leaving for Montreal tonight, Mr. Angevine announced that at the conclusion of the Thorncliffe meeting that John P. Turner would leave for New York to attend the closing of the stakes and to solicit some of the owners remaining at Belmont Park to send on a division of their stables to Blue Bonnets for that meeting.
