? FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES f $ COLLINSVILLE. 111.. May 25. C. Bruce Head, general manager of Fair-mount Park, was notified by trainer John McKee today that Naishapur would be shipped from Churchill Downs to arrive at Fairmount Park Tuesday. Mr. Head expects Clyde Van Dusen, Panchio and other prominent Fairmount Derby eligibles to arrive from Kentucky about the same time. He is confident there will be several eastern horses to compete in the 5,000 fixture next Saturday, but his information so far at hand was not definite in this regard. J. L. Brannon today sold his contract on jockey K. Russell to Mose Goldblatt. Russell rode during the past winter in Tijuana with eminent success. Mayor W. F. Niehas of Collinsville headed a committee of the business men of that little city who occupied the stewards stand during the running of the Collinsville Handicap. Following the finish little Miss Mary Loretta Neihas, daugther of the mayor, presented, in behalf of the business men of Collinsville, a chest of sterling silver to the owner of the winner, a fine watch to the jockey and trainer and a gold pencil and pen to the groom. A fine blanket, suitably lettered, was provided for the winning horse. Fairmount Park police today ejected several bank book operators who were attempting to conduct their business on the grandstand lawn.
