STARPATIC STAR OF SALE F. E. Brown Pays 5,000 for Chestnut Son of Star Master in Paddock Auction. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 25.— The first sale of the season was held in the Belmont Park paddock before the running of the first race today by the Fasig-Tipton company and attracted a large crowd. The bidding on the choice lots offered was brisk and spirited and the star of the sale was Starpatic from the W. S. Kilmore Stable, which was sold to F. E. Brown for 3,000. Bidding carried this fellow to that peak and in addition to the buyer, Leroy King and B. L. Squires offered bids. Following is a summary of the sale : Starpatic, F. E. Brown 5,000 Mint Sauce.
