SEAGRAM STARTS IN LEAD » Sir Harry and Young Kitty Good Winners at Woodbine Park. ♦ Bonfire Wins Largest Single Amount In Taking Toronto Cap Handicap — Salmons Total Is Large. • The Seagram Stable, always a tremendous factor in Canadian racing, has begun this season with a handsome lead over rival owners, concluding the Woodbine Park meeting with a total of J22.190, much more than was won by any other owner. The return of Sir Harry to the races was a contributing factor to the success of this combination, as he won the King Edward Gold Cup Handicap and was second in the Toronto Cup Handicap. The Toronto Cup Handicap, the most valuable race of the meeting, was won by R, T. Wilsons Sunfire, this colt reversing the verdict over Sir Harry, which had beaten him in the King Edward. The Toronto Cup was worth 2,720. The Seagrams next largest winner was Young Kitty, which won the William Hen-drie Memorial Handicap and the Connaught Cup Handicap. Other winners in the Seagram Stable were Dance Circle, Best Bonnet, Bachelor Skipper and Jewel Kit. W. J. Salmon was a large winner, but lie derived little or nothing from the activities of Display, one of the largest money winners of all lime. Stephanus and five or six other winners gave Salmon a total of 2,820, which •was slightly in excess of the winnings of the Eastland Farms Stable, the star of which was the steeplechaser, Brucourt.
