1 NEW YORK TURF NOTES I $ s NEW YORK, N. Y., June 13. J. G. Demarest claimed Agapanthus from W. E. Martin out of the last race Wednesday for ,000. Slight improvement in the condition of jockey E. Watters was reported at the Mary Immaculate Hospital at Jamaica yesterday. White Pop, a three-year-old in the J. R. Macomber barn, was destroyed by the veterinary surgeon yesterday. While being operated upon, the colt reared and fell, injuring his back. Jockey Inzelone was suspended for three racing days by the stewards for rough riding in the fifth race. It was announced today that the Waite starting gtae would be used for all races on the main track except those at one and one-sixteenth miles.
