SUPPORT FOR DESERT LIGHT NEW YORK, N. Y., April 14. There was considerable activity Saturday, according to Tom Shaw, on futures in his Kentucky Derby calculations. High Foot, which was forced down to 8 to 1 on Friday, is still the popular choice, but his price has receded to tens. Desert Light, from the Fair Stable, which Alec Gordon is training at Louisville, has been stoutly supported the past few days and he occupies an even position with High Foot. Woodcraft dropped from 100 down to CO to 1, with plenty of support. Tannery, another Westerner, is not neglected at 40 to 1. Flying Heels, the G. A. Cochran reliance, which Henry McDaniels is training at Belmont Park, has been nibbled at during the past few days, while punters, on the other hand, have fought shy of Gallant Fox, which was installed the opening choice. Apparently many are waiting word from William Woodward as to whether he will ship West if his colt continues to train satisfactorily.
