PLENTY HORSES AT BEULAH Outside Accommodations Necessary to Take Care of Horsemen Desiring to Race. COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 15. Although the Beulah Park meeting is still several clays off before the opening, almost every stall is filled ; also every stall outside the track for a good distance away has been applied for arid it appears as though the Grove City course will enjoy the greatest meeting ever held at this point. There have been many improvements made here -since racing came to a close last fall. The weather has been summer-like for many weeks and the track itself is lightning fast. Many of the officials are already on the grounds. Of the officials here now are William Dangman, steward ; Buddy Wingf ield, starter ; Herbert Kohl, clerk of scales ; Chester Stands, placing judge ; Brownie Held, assistant racing secretary, and many of the mutual clerks. Racing secretary W. Wash Norvell will arrive from Tanforan, California, Thursday. Judge "ohn T. Ireland is expected in from his home in Paris, Ky., about the middle of this week. Harry D. Shepard, former secretary of the Beulah Park Jockey Club, has now replaced Jonas P. Pletsch, the latter having retired from the clubs active affairs. Mr. Shepard has now taken charge of everything pertaining to the Columbus racing plant.
