TYPE showed the most speed throughout and was never seriously threatened. GETGOIN moved up fast after rounding the first turn and easily disposed of the others in the stretch. NIGRICANT overcame interference on the first turn and closed up fast and gamely in the last quarter. CROONING raced into contention rounding the far turn and held on well at the end. ROBERTA L. shook off EN ROUTE after going half the distance and retained a safe lead thereafter, but was hustled along during the final drive. FILL I. worked his way up on the outside and finished gamely. ARROW HAWK closed fast in the stretch, b.ut was in close quarters between the leaders. PLEZALL, a factor most of the way, tired at the end, as did EN ROUTE. The latter showed early speed. The others were outrun. PAT OCONNOR was crowded back on the first turn, steadily improved his position and closed fast on the inside in the final drive.
