MIKE HALL TO PIMLICO LEXINGTON, Ky., April 24. Among the first horses on the local track this morning was R. M. Eastmans Mike Hall, which at noon today entrained for Pimlico, where on Monday he will try for his second victory in the Dixie Handicap. The veteran gelding was breezed over one mile and he ran the distance in the good time of 1:43. Hard held throughout, he went the quarter in :25 ; half mile in :49 and three-quarters in 1:16. H. C. Hatchs Montanaro, which figured in an exceptional trial Wednesday, and also an intended starter in the Dixie ; II. P. Head-leys Alcibiades, Pimlico Oaks and Preakness candidate, which came out of her race here Wednesday in good condition, and several other of the Headley racers, pulled out in the same car with Mike Hall. Walter Taylor went along to personally look after the Eastman and Headley horses, while Lloyd Gentry, trainer of the Hatch stable, sent Montanaro in charge of Bob Moshier, but will reach Pimlico in time to saddle the gelding for Mondays Dixie.
