BELLI CASlS remained in a forward position in the early running, was kept clear of interference, came courageously when put to pressure and in a fast finish wore down the leaders to get up right at the end. PRINCESS HENRY, slow to begin and going gamely under urging, improved her position on the back stretch, swung to the outside in the final drive aud closed fast. ANOHY, blocked directly after the start, was allowed to settle in his stride, fought his way between horses through the stretch and finished fastest of nil. ZAIIX began slowly and closed a big gap. SONNY FRONK raced forwardly, but was unable lo make up any ground when urged. STAR POLLY could not get t the leaders. SUN PORTER raced well. PHILLIP, moving into a short lead in the early stages while under slight restraint, was shaken up when approaching the home stretch and, urged thereafter, drew out into a long lead to win with speed to spare. FLIMSY began slowly, secured racing room on the inside to reach contention, made a game effort on the turn, but was held perfectly safe in the final drive. JIMMY MORAN began fast, but lacked early speed, made up ground slowly after a quarter mile, but could uot threaten the first two. PORTUNATE YOUTH was never dangerous. SKID raced evenly throughout. FIN1TA, placed within striking distance of the leaders, responded to severe punishment when the final drive came, finished gamely on the outside of the leaders and got up in the last twenty yards. MY SIS began fast, set a rapid pace, shook off persistent challenges from YOUXCS KITTY and held on resolutely. ZIDA, unable to keep up with the early leaders, slipped through on the inside on the stretch turn and finished full of run. ON HEIt TOES, in trouble for-the first half mile, secured racing room in the stretch drive and finished well. MOLASSES JANE was held safe. GOOD AS GOLD quit. YOUNG KITTY quit in the last eighth. CALOME, rated forwardly, disposed of BLUE JOHN when : ready, gained a good lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. BAKED APPLE, always a factor and going - gamely throughout, lasted to outstay NAYLOR. The latter offered good contention until reaching the stretch, where he tired under a drive. FLASHING was never troublesome. BLUE JOHN ran well until he tired.
