! GALLANT FOX AND SANDE One of Kentucky Derby Favorites Is to Make Debut Today in Wood Memorial. 1 NEW YORK, N.. Y., April 25. The Wood Memorial of 0,000 added, and the Colorado Stakes, ,000 added, are the stellar offerings of the Metropolitan Jockey Club at Jamaica tomorrow. The greater interest is centered in the Wood Memorial, which is for three-year-olds at one mile and seventy yards, and will mark the debut of the year for Gallant Fox, one of the favorites for the Kentucky Derby. Only five are named to start, but they include, beside Gallant Fox, such good ones as Desert Light, Crack Brigade, Spinach and Gold Broob, worthy opponents to test the mettle of the first mentioned. Interest in the appearance of Gallant Fox will be stimulated by the presence of the peerless Sande in the saddle and the combination should certainly prove popular.
