DON LEON, a quick starter and, lucky, exhibited good speed from the start, saved ground and, holding on well, won with something in reserve. LEROS. probably much the best, and impeded shortly after the start, reached the lead before running out badly on the turn, closed fast when straightened out in the stretch and swerved near the end. FUDGE raced forwaidly and gave an even performance. TARPON showed early speed, but tired in the drive. MR. MOON suffered interference. DR. LOUIS HAMMAN tired fast after going five-sixteenths. EASTER MORN, buffeted about ou the first turn, saved ground while working his way up and held on fairly well. BOLD ROBIN began fast, but tired after showing speed for three-quarters. SI RELIEF lost ground. RACKETEER appeared to bear out most of the wav. GALAHAD began slowly, raced wide the final three-eighths and. closing with a rush, headed I5AD NEAVS BOB at the end. The latter forced the early pace under hustling tactics, disposed of LOAV GEAR, but tired in the final stages. LOW GEAR, close up for three-quarters, failed- to respond in the stretch. The latter almost fell when caught in the crowding, reached third place on the stretch turn and tired in the final eighth. CAZANOVA had a rough journey. MX MARGARET and DIRECTLY were crowded back.
