Won easily; second and third driving. HAPPY SCOT, away in good fashion and showing excellent speed, opened up a long lead in the early stages and, sent right along, increased his advantage to win with much in reserve. IIIEAWAY improved her speed steadily when well settled in her stride and outlasted TOTEM. The latter closed with a bold rush through the stretch. SUSTAIN raced forwardly and had no mishaps. SERGT. MISS PAT worked her way up on the outside and finished gamely in the final drive. FAIR BOB, among the first division at the start, held on Veil. SPORTING FOOL began slowly, but closed with a rush when in his best stride. THESTYLIS was unable to get to the leaders. TORRENTIAL tired as the stretch turn was reached. LOST AGNES, racing in good form and hard hustled to shake off MAD nATTIE, disposed of the latter when approaching the home stretch, continued gamely when MURKY CLOUD gained command and, coming again, got up in the last sixteenth. MURKY CLOUD began fast, but was taken off the pace, was forced to circle her opponents to take the lead in the last eighth, but tired from her efforts in the final drive. SHADY LADY, prominent and going fast, held on well. ST. PRISCA, unable to keep in early contention, could not trouble the leaders at the end. CHATTERWOOD had no excuses. BOUNDING DEEP followed the leader under restraint, came fast when put to a drive, finished boldly in the closing drive and wore down RUBY KELLER in the last few strides. RUBY KELLER, rated along in front, withstood early opposition from SANFORD, gained a clear lead at the final eighth post, but tired badly in the final sixteenth. SANFORD, kept in contention all the way, made repeated challenges, but tired. SUNNY SAINT, kept well placed, was unable to get to the leaders. MAX1VA appeared sore and did not extend herself. AVILLIAM T., well placed and going well while being held under Slight restraint, went into the lead with a rush on the far turn, withstood a challenge from TORO and drew but in the final drive. TORO, under restraint early, made a determined challenge approaching the stretch, but tired and just lasted to outstay INCEPTION. The latter set a good pace while saving ground and held on gamely in the closing drive. SIR HARRY was always outrun. DR. FREELAND showed speed while slipping through on the inside on the back stretch to get into a slight lead, tired and may have needed the race. DONNA Y was through early. HARVARD, always well up and racing in his best form, finished gamely and just lasted to stall off DUBLIN SHOW. The latter; steadied in near pursuit of the leaders, held on well. HIGH LIFE raced evenly throughout. JUSTA PAL was gaining slowly. LAURIE was in a jam at the first turn. JACK HAWKSLEY was outrun and ran off after the race when one of his stirrup irons broke. FAIR THORN secured racing room from a slow break to reach a prominent position, was given a breathing spell and held on determinedly. VOYAGE rushed to the front, saved ground, withstood early challenges, but weakened f . nearing the, finish. CORRINE STAR showed a good test. FAIR GOLD Mas shuffled .back from crowding - after the break, recovered quickly, but made up too much ground that caused her to tire. TORRENCE .and WHACK BEN quit early.
