: . ! . LATEST CANADIAN RECRUIT TORONTO, Ont, April 25. The five juveniles, which constitute the racing string of Mr. R. S. McLaughlin "of Oshawa, multimillionaire recruit to racing this year, are the subject of much favorable comment among horsemen at Woodbine Park. Mr. McLaughlin intends building up an establishment which will shortly take its place among the leading Canadian stables and the quality of the young racing material and breeding stock he has gathered together to date assures the future of his stable. The best blood has been sought, the breeding farm at Oshawa will be a model plant when completed, including a half-mile training track ; the racing stable is being equipped on an elaborate scale and the horses have been entrusted to the care of a capable young trainer in the person of J. H. Black, Jr., son of the famous veterinary of the same name. The five two-year-olds are: Tetrarc, a strapping chestnut colt, by Tetrameter Area-line ; Sky Gazer, a brown filly by Sky-Rocket Madame Marjory; Scherzando, a chestnut filly by Scherzo Rockdoe ; Bonnet Piece, brown or black filly, by Bhuidhaonach Gold Coin, and Bey Hodder, a bay colt by Old Koenig Beth Hodder.
