NEGODALE, rated along under restraint for three quarters, moved up on the outside on the stretch turn and challenged gamely and just failed to get up. HERENDEEN began slowly, saved ground and tired in the stretch. DODGSON raced wide. BELLSMITH was under energetic tactics throughout. HIGH STORM quit. DEVON was outrun.
