I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I $ $ LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 7. Copies of the second and final issue of conditions covering the closing twelve days of the Churchill Downs meeting were distributed this afternoon. Jockey G. Arnold took out a license and will get into colors tomorrow. Dr. J. Fred Adams advised Downs officials of intentions to ship his Derby candidate, Annimessic, and another horse from Pimlico to the Downs. He expects to load them for the westward trip Saturday. Gordon Arnold came from Maryland to do the riding. If Ilium does not start in the Derby, George Ellis, also with the Ziegler stable, will ride Mate in the Derby. Col. P. T. Chinn sold to Mrs. V. W. Hendricks at Pimlico the two-year-olds Lace Shawl and Gift o Gab and they left Douglas Park for that Maryland track yesterday. They are fillies by Spanish Prince II. and Flittergold, respectively. The twenty-one horses Jack Howard has at Douglas Park are to be raced at Washing ton Park, Arlington Park and other Chicago meetings. He sent Maidens Tryst to his Rookwood Farm and following the firing treatment she will be turned out for the summer. C. C. Van Meters Joey Bibb, entirely recovered from his recent illness, will be returned to regular training without further delay. His sickness forced Van Meter to leave him at Lexington when shipping others in his stable here a week ago and he was vanned over yesterday. William F. Schmidt, owner of the Superior Stable, was a visitor. He stopped off en route to his home at Chicago, and is returning to witness the Kentucky Derby.
