j AGUA CAL1ENTE N0TES Jockey L. Knapp was absent from the saddle today A severe cold was the cause. The horses of Abe Bartelstein, which arrived safely at Imperial Beach, are responding nicely to the surf treatment and a few may be shipped to Agua Caliente in tho near future. Eddie Hayes, who had charge of the jockeys quarters at Tanforan, was an arrival. Jockeys L. Arnold, D. Porter and Glen Smith, leading riders at Tanforan, have beeri" granted permission to ride and will be seeri in action in a few days. Charlie Irby was an arrivaL E. E. Morrison, his brother, J. V. Morrisoni and wife, motored down from Tanforam along with Dugan Christopher and will stag for the remainder of the meeting.
