AGUA TO REOPEN FRIDAY Prospects Brighter for Good Track and More Auspicious Racing Conditions. , AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Feb. 3. Prospects for a good track for the re-opening of Agua Caliente Friday appeared bright today when the sun shone down brilliantly. The racing stripe was still very deep, however, and the few horses that appeared on the track this morning worked around the "dogs". Several bad spots dotted the main highway to the track on the Mexican side of the border, but it was expected that these would be repaired in time for the reopening. Meanwhile, horsemen and turf followers are taking it easy preparing their charges for the races to be given during the latter part of the week. The regular program which appeared in the condition book for Friday will be run off on that day, while Sundays racing will be featured by the Spa Handicap for three-year-olds and up at one and one-sixteenth miles. It is expected that the Spa which has ,500 added, will bring out several Agua Caliente Handicap eligibles including Dr. Freeland, while Phar Lap may also appear in an exhibition gallop.
