LEXINGTON SPRING MEETING Depends TJpbn Passage of Le Bus Bill Reducing Daily State Tax to 00. LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 18. The Kentucky Association, operating the Lexington track, the oldest race course in America, is expected to seek license from the Kentucky State Racing Commission for a spring meeting of seven days, if the Frank Le Bus bill, which would reduce the daily state tax from ,500 to 00 is enacted. The Le Bus measure was passed by the House 66 to 14 yesterday and is not expected to encounter difficulties in the Senate. Under the Le Bus measure only the Lexington and Dade Park tracks would be relieved by the reduction in operating tax, the daily fee for both Churchill and Latonia remaining at ,500. Tentatively the Kentucky Association plans to open its course on Saturday, April 17, and close on April 23, according to report here. The regular Churchill Downs spring meeting of nineteen days opens on Saturday, April 30.
