FOREIGN PLAY raced CHIEFS CAMILLE into defeat early and, continuing gamely under hard urging outlasted MOVE ALONG in the final drive. MOVE ALONG, away well, dropped out of it in the first eighth and, forced to the outside on the turn, responded gamely in the stretch and would have won in another stride. FAIR BLANCHE, hard urged, forced MOVE ALONG wide all the way, but finished resolutely DELUDE closed a big gap. CHIEFS CAMILLE quit badly after half a mile. KATHLEEN J. met interference mterierence. DUSKY DAME began fast from outside the machine and, drawing into a good early lead, quit in the final sixteenth. BUN D prominent all the way, tired in the drive. WESTYS TWINKLE raced evenly. MINTOGEE began green, but raced into contention rapidly, then tired. MYNAH and SIZZLING finished well under pressure. SILVER LAKE, prominent in the early stages, improved his position on the outside on the turn and wearing down the leaders in the stretch, won going away. MISS AVONDALE, close up throughout, finished gamely under punishment and outlasted BLACK DOVE. The latter showed good speed and saved ground all the way, but tired in the last eighth and was quitting fast in the closing strides. HAYTIME, hard ridden from the start, was unable to get up. SALISBURY improved his position on the outside on the turn and responding gamely in the stretch, outlasted GLENSIDE. The latter, always a factor, held on gamely in the stretch. ALDERSHOT bore out on the turn and lost ground, then closed resolutely, but did not threaten the leaders. TARNISH had no mishaps. SUN SHADOW tired in the final quarter mile. VANDER POOL lacked his usual early speed and was under intermittent prsssure all the way, but was unable to improve his position. FRENCH LASS saved ground all the way and had no excuses.
