I AGUA CALIENTE NOTES I $ Dr. Freeland, which will carry the colors of Benny Creech in the Aua Caliente Handicap, showed the early birds some running when he came on the track this morning. With considerable weight in the saddle, he went one mile in 1:39, and so impressive was the move that he was immediately cut from 3 to 1 to 2 to 1 in the future book. Phar Lap was also out for a "constitutional," and galloped around the track. Ervast showed speed in working six furlongs in 1:13. It is feared that apprentice W. Westrope, who was thrown from Nuve Alta after the finish of the first race Friday, is rather badly injured. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, San Diego, after examination at the track hospital. Westrope had been engaged to ride six horses today and his place in the remaining five was taken by other jockeys.
