I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES Monday and all days except Saturdays during the remainder of the meeting, post time for the first race at the Fair Grounds will be 2:30 oclock. On Saturdays starting time will be 2 oclock and programs on such days will comprise eight races. Scratch time tomorrow, Charity Day, will be 8 a. m. Chicon, recently purchased from Delaney and Young by the Lone Star Stable, will make her first start under the latters colors in the first race Monday. It was reported "by the stewards that King Commander bled slightly after participating in the fourth race Friday. Jockeys A. Vuillemot and R. G. Cooper Were suspended for five days each for rough riding. The former failed to prevent Lord Valentine lrom impeding several rivals shortly after the start of the first race Friday, and Coopers rough tactics while astride Scandal Sheet in the second put Prince Tommy and Rivet in a bad tangle at the first turn. A. Pendergrass, who had the mount on Rivet, had his left foot bruised duringthe crowding. F. P. Letellier sold the two-year-old Dixie Queen, a brown filly by For Fair Goldie Girl and a juvenile filly by Paicines Ebb Tide to Flory Brothers of Taft, La., and the two youngsters will be shipped there to be turned out. They will be raced here next winter. Joe Rodriguez, at one time among the leading riders in this country, has affiliated with the stable of Vic Gallo and may have his first mount in an attempted comeback before the Fair Grounds meeting closes.
