FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES 4 : Jockey W. Robertson was suspended five lays for crowding at the start of the sixth n.ce Tuesday. Louisville was ordered withdrawn from the sixth race Tuesday on account of lameness, induced by ringbone. Only one dollar, placed in the field stand, was wagered straight on Mary McCarthy, a starter in the first race at the Fair Grounds today. If she had won the ticket would have been good for ,720. The pool was one of the smallest of the winter here. Racing secretary Joseph McLennan said entries for the ,000 added New Orleans Handicap, one of the principal features for older horses during the meeting, will close Saturday evening. This race will bring together Spanish Play, Playtime, Surf Board, Jimmy Moran, Bargello, Glastonbury, Uncommon Gold and others at a mile and one-eighth Saturday, March 12. . It will engage Nituma, recognized champion of this division; Black Squaw, Stride-away, Miss Careful, Boston Waters, Crucial Test, Capt. Jerry, Figuriste, Marion E., Miss Bunting, Sir Michael, Colored Artist and others. William Hamilton, starter at all of the Kentucky tracks, plans to have iiis assist? ants at Churchill Downs, Louisville, and the Kentucky Association track, Lexington, for the purpose of schooling two-year-olds just as quickly as they can make the trip from here to the Kentucky points. From here Hamilton goes to his home at Hot Springs for a short rest, but will reach Kentucky well in advance of the opening of the Blue. Grass season.
