DUSKY LASS, away slowly, made up much ground in the first I quarter, came through on the inside in the stretch and closed gamely. ELEGY, under hustling tactics, I showed speed, raced wide and tired. GO EASY closed strongly. BUBBLING O. was weakly ridden. TOMBEREAU showed good speed, but quit badly in the last eighth. BONNET, taken back Bton the far turn, went to the outside entering the stretch, where she closed a gap. PITTSBLRGHER, racing in his best form and taken into the lead, was rated along under restraint for three quarters, went wide on the stretch turn and. withstanding hard pressure, outlasted SPANISH PLAY. The latter, a strong factor from the start and also under reserve for three-quarters, responded well after going to the outside of the winner, but failed to get up. CANFLI saved much ground and tired badly. COUSIN JO was racing easily and in third position when she ran out badly on the stretch turn.
