Jockey Sidney Erwin departed Saturday night for Toronto, Ont., where he will do the riding for Eddie Seremba. Erwin can scale as low as 100 pounds and should get plenty of work in the Dominion. Racing secretary R. S. Shelley received the first issue of the condition books for the Washington Park meeting, which will being May 23 and run thirty days. They were distributed among the horsemen. Mr. Shelley left Saturday night for Calgary, Alberta, where he will act as racing secretary and judge. Jockey Eddie Johnson joined the ranks of benedicts when he was joined in marriage to Miss Ellen Margaret Hansen. The ceremony was performed in the church of Assumption and William McGovern and Mrs. Anna McGovern were the attendants. When apprentice Harold Chinn won on Our Mary it marked his first winner, also a maiden victory for the filly and trainer Carl Studer. Constance Ann, which was ordered withdrawn by the stewards out of the eighth race Friday, will not be allowed to start at this meeting on account of her physical condition. I
