- - Stepenfetchit Named for Ohio Derby 1 i CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 19.— Mrs. John Hay Whitneys Stepenfetchit, third in the Kentucky Derby, and his stablemate, Over Time, which was ridden by Earl , Sande in the same event, were nominated for the Ohio State Derby, which is to be run at the Bainbridge Park course on Saturday, June 4. Nominations of the two eastern cracks were received from trainer J. W. Healy. One of the pair positively will start in the Derby here, Healy wrote, and probably both. In the latter event both jockeys, Earl Sande and "Buddy" Ensor, may sport the silks of the famous eastern sportswoman in the Ohio classic, which is at a mile and a furlong. Racing secretary Reeder now has thirty-five nominations and expects fifty by closing time on May 28, which would bring the net money winnings to the winner J to approximately ,000, ,000 to second, ,000 to third, 50 to fourth and 50 || to fifth, providing at least fifteen go to the post. || A splendid field is anticipated in the Bainbridge Inaugural Handicap, ,500 I added, which is to be run opening day, next Saturday. The nominations closed today. Among those listed is the Ohio Derby candidate of the Le Mar Stock Farm Stable, Madwind, which made an excellent showing in his first out of the year last week in Kentucky, H. H. Pierces Birthday Gift, Harry Harts Silver Cord, E. E.. " Majors Bill Orange, Le Mar Stock Farms Most Wise, J. C. Ellis Leros and Honey | Locust, W. E. Caskey, Jr.s Mynheer, G. W. Atkinsons Wise Maid, and J. J. Nesbits Julia Betty are expected to start. j
