Jones will ride for the i Btables of James Emery and Emil Denemark during the Chicago season. Jockey Wayne Wright, considered by many to be the pick of the western apprentices, was an arrival. He is under contract to A. A. Baroni, who recently purchased his papers. Wright will not be seen in action at Exposition Park as he drew a ten-day suspension for rough riding at Tanforan on May 11. Fred Crafton is distributing the stake blanks for the Arlington Park meeting. John T. Strite, veteran horseman who has been quite ill for some time, was removed to Mayo Brothers clinic at Rochester, Minn. Jockey J. Cavens will leave for Bainbridge Park on Friday. G. H. Neal has the utmost confidence in his apprentice boy, L. Cantrell, who won his first race on Santa Sophia on Wednesday and intends purchasing a few more horses in order to give the lad ample opportunity to Drove his worth. Charles F. Henry, Exposition Park racing secretary, is distributing the stake blanks for Latonia and Bainbridge Park meetings. Jockev H West, who had intended leaving for Bainbridge on Wednesday night, remained over to ride Conrad for Val Crane. He also accepted a couple of other mounts.
