I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES 1 $ g Twelve of the horses of John Marsch were shipped to Washington Park Thursday. Trainer Phil Reuter remained here and will saddle Mrs. Marschs Princess Camelia for the Kentucky Oaks Saturday. Following the Oaks, Reuter and Marsch leave by plane for Chicago from where Marsch will come here by air Saturday morning. W. Z. Martin plans to return to Lexington with the five horses he raced here. At Lexington he will take up three others and all will be pointed for the Latonia meeting. The C. C. Van Meter stable was another that pulled out for Washington Park Thursday. Van Meter sent Bedight and Joey Bibb to Slickaway Farm to be turned out. His good two-year-old Red Whisk will have his next stakes engagement in the Thomas Cur-ran Memorial at Washington Park. Jockey Herb Fisher will ride out tie remainder of the Downs meetings, leaving Sunday by motor for Chicago Heights. James McGee sent the three-year-olds Sunny World to the L. C. Young Farm and will ship three others to Washington Park. Jockey Earl Pool was taken ill during the night and had to cancel his mounts today. The F. M. Grabner horses, in charge of Frank Swain, were transferred to Washington Park Wednesday night. There were twelve in the string. O. Viau got away for Bainbridge Park Thursday morning. He shipped eight to the Ohio track. The Braedelbane Stable i st the two-year-old chestnut filly by Higt Time — Lady Madcap. She died Wednesday night. The big division of the W. R. Coe stable that will lace through the entire Chicago season, beginning at Washington Park, arrived at the Homewood course Thursday, according to word received here. J. W. Parrishs Depression, Albert Sabaths 1 Say and Mrs. John Marschs Princess Camera today completed serious training for the Kentucky Oaks to be run here Saturday. Trainer Willie Crump sent Depression the Oaks route and she covered it in the fine time of 1:55%, without being distressed. Jockey Gilbert Elston, accompanied by his agent, Bobby Bowers, leaves Saturday for Chicago Heights. A carload of the Greentree Stable horses are scheduled to get away Friday for Wash* ington Park and a second leaves Saturday night. The C. V. Whitney Stable, requiring two cars, moves on to Washington Park Saturday night. News of the death of John Lowe saddened his scores of friends among the horsemen, officials and others at Churchill Downs. For many years Lowe always raced the horses in his care at the Kentucky meetings and during visits here and at other Blue Grass points, made many friends.
