FRENCH 1,000 GUINEAS Special Cablegram. PARIS, France, May 19. — Run over the Bois de Boulogne, Longchamps course, Sunday, the one mile Prix dEssai des Pouliches, the equivalent of the English One Thousand Guineas for three-year-old fillies, was won by Baron Edouard de Rothschilds Ligne de Fond, with Lord Derbys Disguise, second and T. P. Cozzikas Miss Eddy, third. Ligne de Fond, bred by her owner, is a daughter of the Grey Belfords, from Vicelle, by La Farina. Last month she won the Prix Ladas, a race for horses of all countries, at La Tremblay. Ligne de Fond was ridden by C. Bouillon, who also had the leg up on Baron Edouard de Rothschilds Taxodium, a chestnut four-year-old son of Bay Cherry and Brenta, which won the secondary feature, the two and a quarter-mile La Coupe. In this Lady Granards Blackamoor, finished second, and Metz, owned by the American sportsman, Ralph Beaver Straus-burger, was third.
