HYDE PARK STAKES ELIGIBLES In High and Caterwaul Among Those Named for Rich Prize at Arlington Park. Dixiana Farms In High and C. V. Whitneys Caterwaul, winners of the Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs and Keene Memorial Stakes at Belmont Park, important events for two-year-olds on last Saturdays program, are among the eligibles for the 0,000 added Hyde Park Stakes, one of three important events for juveniles on the July program of the Arlington Park Jockey Club, it was pointed out today by racing secretary Joseph McLennan. In High, a chestnut son of High Time and Indiscretion, won the Bashford Manor with a fine display of speed which saw him defeating the favored Red Whisk and nine other youngsters of quality. Red Whisk, winner of his two previous efforts, likewise is an eligible for the Hyde Park, having been nominated by his owner and trainer, C. C. Van Meter. Caterwaul, one of several Whitney eligibles for the event that will gross approximately 5,000 with fifteen starters, won from another high class band in the Keene Memorial, two of his victims being De Valera and Quel Jeu, colts that had previously demonstrated above average ability. De Valera also is in the Hyde Park, while Quel Jeu was entered in the Arlington Futurity, which will gross approximately 5,000. Owners of juveniles which were not named for the Hyde Park at the original closing, but which display worthwhile form before June 1, have the opportunity of nominating them at the supplementary closing on that date, Mr. McLennan said.
