MAY AVERT LOCAL CLASH CICERO, 111., Aug. 27. There were persistent rumors at Hawthorne this afternoon that the proposed clash of dates between Aurora and Lincoln Fields might be averted. It was said that a meeting would be held tonight at which it was expected an amicable agreement would be reached, whereby Lincoln Fields might yield a week or more ,of the latter part of its meeting to Aurora.
