TWENTY GRAND PROGRESSES SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 27. -The Greentree Stables Twenty Grand advanced another step in his preparation for the fall campaign when trainer Bill Bren-nan breezed him along a mile and an eighth this morning. The big four-year-old looked in splendid condition and after the trial was the center of attraction for hundreds of horsemen, who had witnessed the trial. He pulled up sound as ever and showed no ill effects from the journey. The pace was slow and steady and he negotiated the nine furlongs in 2:01. The first half mile was in :54, the three-quarters in 1:23, the mile in 1:48. Mrs. Payne Whitney expressed herself as immensely pleased with the manner in which the horse is coming along. No definite date or race has been set for his debut this season. " , .
