HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES $ and A. A. Baroni is shipping his entire stable to Lincoln Fields for the meeting at that point. Jockey W. Wright will do the riding. The few John Marsch horses trainer Phil Reuter had at Hawthorne have been transferred to Washington Park, where a dozen of the Marsch, racers have been quartered for some weeks. This stable will campaign at Lincoln Fields for about two weeks before going to Maryland. R. M. Eastmans three-year-old Cathop suffered several minor cuts while being vanned from Lincoln Fields to Hawthorne late yesterday, and trainer J. T. Taylor had him excused from the Woodlands Purse. Daniel E. OSullivan, resident manager of Churchill Downs, was among the visitors at Hawthorne today; He is here in the interests of the Lincoln Fields meeting, serving as director of publicity and advertising for the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club. Samuel C. Nuckols, who will serve as presiding steward at Exposition Park during the meeting opening Saturday, was an arrival from Kentucky and he visited Hawthorne during the afternoon.
