COAT TAILS, outrun to the stretch turn, came through on the inside entering the stretch, finished fast and wore down the leaders in the final drive. GRITFORD forced the early pace, disposed of HARKY in the stretch and held on well. REVONAH, a factor all the way, tired at the end. CENTER LANE, close up from the start, was taken to the inside at the eighth post, then quit. RYE showed a good performance. HARKY showed early speed. GOLDEN WORDS could not keep up. FRIGATE BIRD was outrun all the way and could not improve his position.
