1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES s . 1 Jockey L. Bernius was fined 0 by the stewards for repeatedly refusing to ask for permission to dismount after the second race. Jockey Pete Walls has been engaged to ride the Quincy Stables Repaid in his Maryland engagements this fall. Jockey A. Robertson canceled his riding engagements for the day. He developed a cold. Faireno was shipped to the Belair Stud in Maryland, while several of the Wheatley stable horses will be retired to their owners Long Island Farm next week. Several changes in equipment were posted during the afternoon. Jubilation and Boundary were raced without blinkers while Athol and Tulane Lass were tried with them. P. S. P. Randolphs Oral started his last race unshod behind. The colt has a bad habit of cutting himself in running.
