I DUFFERIN PARK NOTES 1 -$ Hughie Gallagher has acquired the Canadian-bred juvenile Whitby Lad from the Riverdale Stable at private terms. The three two-year-olds Swagger Stick, Maetico and Maemete have been unsexed at the R. S. McLaughlin farm at Oshawa, Ont. Trainer Harry Giddings has received two additional home-bred yearlings, which he will break at Woodbine. Latest reports on the condition of jockey F. Fellows, who was injured in a fall at the recently closed Long Branch meeting, are that he is progressing favorably. It is expected he will be able to leave the hospital the latter part of the week. Jockey F. Dougherty was fined 5 for striking jockey R. Moser in the jockeys room after the running of the opening race Wednesday.
