RIDGE LADY, well ridden, slowly improved her position "on the inside in the first quarter, was taken to the outside on the turn, went around the leaders 6n-the stretch turn and, drawing out, won easily. EVA JANE began slowly, responded to urging in the final five-sixteenths and disposed of PRINCESS PERI fast in the final stages. The latter raced wide most of the way, but moved up mildly in the stretch, where she bore in badly and tired in the final eighth. GOLDEN DEEDS began fast, was used up racing with WISE MONA under a poorly Judged ride and was tiring when impeded in the stretch. WISE MONA quit and was forced back by PRINCESS PERI in the stretch. BLACK TORCH showed speed from the start, shook off FOXEY BURT on the turn and, drawing away, won easily. FLAG FLYING, a factor throughout, held on well. FOXEY BURT began fast, was in the deeper going most of the way and, holding on stubbornly, outlasted RADIO ANNOUNCER. The latter, restrained for half a mile, went well under pressure thereafter and should benefit by the effort. PONY UP closed fast. EBONY LADY lost ground and raced green. RUNNING WATER, suited by the going, easily withstood DUNNY BOY while under strong restraint in the first half mile, came away rapidly in the final three-sixteenths and bore out in the late stages. DUNNY BOY showed speed, tired after five-eighths, yet. outlasted MAGNA MATER. The latter improved her position with a rush soon after entering the stretch, but tired in the final strides. WISE CROSS had no mishaps. ANNA. BEALL began slowly. TOWN LIMIT was through after half a mile. HAMBURGER JIM propped out of it, lacked speed and -showed a poor performance. The latter showed speed from the start, drew into a good lead near the final eighth, but tired near the end. CYNARA began slowly, was far back for half a mile, then closed with a rush. OLIVE SABATH lost ground, showed speed, but tired. LITTLE GERTIE had no excuses. MISSIE began slowly, lacked speed and was always outrun. CHARLEY O., under strong urging throughout, held on well and finished fastest of all. RED ROAMER, close up for half a mile, tired in the stretch; SWEEPRUSH quit. TROTWOOD lost ground, rallied to urging and wore down EPIDEMIC in the final stride. The latter showed speed, wasvated closest to the early pace, moved up mildly under punishment on the stretch turn and tired in the final drive. ORCHESTRATION showed a fair performance.
