LATONIA CHAMPIONSHIP HOPE Gallant Sir Certain Starter in Bich Feature on November 5 Gusto Also Eligible. LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 21. Gallant Sir, Norman W. Churchs Latonia Championship contender, and four of his stablemates, will reach Latonia from Maryland four or five days before the Championship, which will be renewed on Saturday, November 5, according to word sent on by E. L. "Woody" Fitzgerald, trainer of the Church racers. Gallant Sir is coming up to the Championship in great fashion and many close observers look for him to prove the winner of the 0,000 event. Prominent among his opponents in the rich three-year-old prize, which will be run over the testing route of one mile and three-quarters, will be the crack Gusto, M. L. Schwartz leading money winner of the year and claimant for the three-year-old crown. C. V. Whitneys Mad Frump, recent conqueror of Twenty Grand, is another almost certain starter. Sun Archer, W. S. Kilmers good homebred juvenile son of Sun Briar and Hawks-head, is eligible for the 5,000 .Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, to be renewed at the mile distance here Saturday, October 29, and his impressive qualifying effort at Laurel, Thursday, brought him into the probable starters class, headed by Technique, Caterwaul, The Darb and others.
