1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES I .4, : 6 W. B. Miller, well known breeder, was among the visitors of the afternoon. W. A. Crawford will try the Pine Tree Stable yearlings at Jamaica Sunday. Five youngsters make up the stable. Clarence Buxton will ship twelve horses to Columbia, S. C, after this meeting. A division of the stable will be shipped to Havana for winter racing. N. T. Byer, the trainer, was fined 0 for failing to report his horse, Golden Princess, for the first race, or failing to produce a veterinarian certificate of her disability, by order of the stewards. B. B. Stable claimed Wishing Star out of the fourth race Friday for ,500, from James Butler. J. Simon Healy, acting for William Phelan at private terms, purchased from P. S. P. Randolph the horses Fourteen and Polisher. They will be trained by Healy. Foxiana was claimed from A. J. Gadek out of the last race Thursday by M. Fiaridola for ,800. ,
