4 LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES i After the third race Thursday White Clover II. and Felrap were each worked an easy mile in 1:39. William Doyle is accepting nominations for the United Hunts Racing Associations program to be held November 8, at Belmont Park, New York. The stewards, Thursday, ruled that no more than fourteen horses will be allowed to go postward in steeplechase races. If more than fourteen are nominated for any race the extras will be listed as "also elig-lbles," as is the case in flat races. The regular steeplechase course at Pim-lico will be opened for schooling Wednesday, October 26, and Saturday, October 29. In all steeplechases to be run during the autumn meeting at Pimlico, October 31 to November 12, the field of starters will be limited to fourteen. This is done for safety and to bring about a truer run race. The large club house will be opened at Pimlico, Wednesday, October 26, by secretary M. L. Daiger. Benny Chapman, who resides within a stones throw" of this course, is the latest Maryland turfman to announce that he will ship his stable to Miami, Fla.
