i i ! i 1 LATONIA TURF NOTES . --. Jack Gobde will remain here a week after the close with the seven horses he will race this winter. He plans to reach New Orleans about Thanksgiving day. His father, J. M. Goode, will winter a few horses at Lexington and later take up a number of yearlings, including those of James W- Parrish. Blast, the only horse Cliff Porter has in training, will be wintered at Lexington. Jockeys Bob Finnerty and George South, accompanied by Guy Lunsford, plan to leave Sunday for the Crescent City. They are malting the trip by motor. Lon Jones is shipping back to his National Stock Farm next week. He will winter Fair Rochester, Fair Delight and several others. Albert Dunne is shipping Pink Slipper, Klair and White Collar to Agua Caliente next week. L. Fischer is sending J. W. Snyders Royal Julian, Society Talk and five others in the same car. Apprentice H. Chinn will report to George Fritz at Jefferson Park after the close here. Fritz has leased the lads contract from Dan Lehan for the New Orleans season. E. A. Igleheart, who has several horses here in charge of H. H. Battle, is a visitor from his home at Evansville, Ind. Battle will take in the Lexington sales and expects to purchase several yearlings for the F. L. B. Stable. The Igleheart and F. L. B. Stable horses will be shipped from here to Florida and f rom there to Oriental Park. L. V. Bellew, Jr., is taking Dr. Parrish, Sand Fiddler, Harry Hieover and probably one or two others to Jefferson Park next week. ! R. O. Higdon has arranged to transfer the seven horses he has here to Jefferson Park Monday. Donie Bush, who was signed this morning as manager of the Cincinnati Reds National League Club, was among the visitors. He was accompanied by Ted McGrew, International League umpire. Eugene Lutz sold Agitate to-H. March, Jr., of Gates Mills, Ohio, and Teeare to Harry Woda of Cleveland; The former will be converted into a hunter and the latter used as a polo mount. The eight horses J. Lowenstein has here will be transferred to Churchill Downs next week. At Louisville Lowenstein will make up a division of his stable for racing at New Orleans. During the next ten day3 he will go over the horses he has turned out, with a view of having several of them fired or blistered. With the close here, F. P.Letellier will ship the older horses he campaigned here! to Louisville and from there, where five yearlings will be picked up at Douglas Park, proceed to the Fair Grounds, New Orleans. A. J. Bellew claimed Bettina H. from the first race for ,000.
