DEPLORE DEATH OF SCHANK At a meeting of the board of directors of the Chicago Business Mens Association, held Friday, resolutions of sympathy on the death of its president, John C. Schank, were passed and copies sent to the family of the deceased. It was also decided that for the present the vacant post of director would not be filled, nor would the office of president, and a resolution was passed authorizing Joseph A. Murphy to fill the dual role of acting president and general manager, with full authority to organize and conduct the coming meeting in August. The resolution follows: Whereas, It has pleased Almighty God to take from our midst our beloved president, John C. Schank, and Whereas, Every director, officer and employee of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association feel in his demise a personal loss, therefore Be it resolved that the directors, in behalf of the officers and employees, extend to the family of the deceased their deepest sympathy, and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be spread on the minutes and another i copy be sent to the bereaved family.
