The latter showed early speed and, drawing away, saved much ground and had no mishaps. NIPPED worked her way up on the outside and finished strongest. CARISSA, slow to start, closed with a rush. TWIDGETS showed good form. DUNLAVIN finished gamely. COME SEVEN overcame interference. MISS MASCARA raced well. BRIGHT CHANCE raced evenly. BABY CHARD showed early speed. SHELL HOLE began slowly. The latter improved his position steadily and finished fast. OKAPI, as good as left, closed a big gap and ran a winning race. SARADA overcame early interference and finished gamely. GOOD ADVICE, outrun to the stretch turn, went to the outside and finished fast, but pulled up lame. MR. KHAYYAM, closest to the early pace, saved ground, but tried badly. DARK WINTER, away in a tangle, tired. DE VALERA was rushed into contention, then quit. PUCHERO raced evenly. SUN ARCHER tired when urged. THE DARB had no mishaps. POMPONIUS had no mishaps.
