DADE PARK OPENING TODAY Tenth Annual Meeting of Dade Park Jockey Club Seven Races on Daily Card. HENDERSON, Ky., Aug. 11. The tenth annual meeting of the Dade Park Jockey Club, which will open Saturday and continue twenty-five days, is expected to be the most successful in the history of the Western Kentucky track. Lester Yeager, associate manager, has the huge racing plant in excellent condition for the opening. Extensive improvements have been made on the grandstand, clubhouse and paddock. The track is in first class order and it is expected that record time will be made by the thoroughbreds. The feature provided for Saturday is the Inaugural Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at six furlongs, for a purse of ,000. Some of the best sprinters in training are expected to start. There will be seven races daily, with purses ranging from 00 to ,500 during the meeting. The "Daily Double" used for the first time in the mutuels last year, will be retained this year. Word came from Chicago today that Jack Howard is sending Miss Tulsa, speed marvel, from Hawthorne to Dade Park for the meeting. The Greentree Stable of Mrs. Payne Whitney is due in from Latonia, together with a number of other stables that are coming from Coney Island. George Miller, star jockey of the J. C. Ellis stable, arrived at the track Friday af-. ternoon. Other jockeys here for the meeting are R. Montgomery, W. Kern, G. Fowler, W. Carroll, R. Tilden and others.
