DAYTON RIDER INJURED DAYTON Ohio June 22 Following the numerous accidents here of late all riders were warned by judge Nuckols prior to the opening of the racing at the Fair Grounds Friday that rough riding offenders would be severely punished Two jockeys failed to pay heed to the warning and the official ax fell heavily at the conclusion of the after ¬ noons sport Jockey J Mills was suspended for the remainder of the meeting and jockey D McAllister was given a suspension of sixty days McAllister had planned to leave for Winnipeg Manitoba As the field was rounding the first turn in the initial race today Hastelia ridden by jockey J Dillea when racing in third place bolted for a gap in the outside fence Dillea was thrown into the fence and was immediately rushed to the hospital in an unconscious condition He was severely cut about the head and it is feared his skull is fractured In addition Dillea sustained internal chest injuries Dil leas mishap brings the list of jockeys now confined to the hospital to three M Wim mer and W Taylor are the other two
