WASHINGTON PARK RULINGS List of Such Decisions Fines and andSuspensions Suspensions as Handed Down by byStewards Stewards of the Meeting The rulings fines and suspensions by th s stewards during the 1934 meeting of the Washington Park Jockey Club follows followsMay May 24 Jockey T King suspended pend ¬ J ing investigation of his ride on Wirt G Bow ¬ i man in the sixth race raceMay May 28 Investigation into the running of Wirt G Bowman in the sixth race ori May 2 24 having convinced the stewards that the horse was short jockey T Kings conten ¬ t tion that the horse stopped in the stretch was accepted and he was restored to good s standing The entry of Wirt G Bowman was refused for a period of ten days be ¬ g ginning May 25 25May May 28 The entry of Well Built is refused f for the remainder of the meeting because of j her tendency to bleed bleedMay May 31 The further entry of Levaal was r refused until his condition is approved by t the veterinarian veterinarianMay May 31 Trainer Hal Kiser was fined 10 for f being late in the paddock paddockMay May 31 Trainer J D Mikel was fined 10 f for being late In the paddock paddockJune June 1 Jockey E Arcaro was suspended ten days for rough riding in the second race raceJune June 5 Jockey T King was suspended ten days for a listless ride on Flag Time near the finish of the first race raceJune June 5 Trainer J D Mikel was fined 100 for the use of intemperate language to the stewards following the running of the first race The stewards were influenced in not imposing a heavier penalty by the apology tendered them by Mikel for his conduct conductJune June 6 Jockey T P Martin was sus ¬ pended ten days for rough riding on Napo ¬ leon W in the fourth race and Napoleon W was disqualified from third money June moneyJune 9 Jockey W Garner was suspended ten days for rough riding on Wise Player in the sixth race raceJune June 11 Jockey H Hughes was fined 10 for not keeping his position in the parade to the post after being warned warnedJune June 11 Trainer M Haller was fined 10 for being late in the paddock paddockJune June 13 B Butterfield and C F Davis were fined 25 each for shipping Ybor City to Detroit when the horse was entered at Washington Park ParkJune June 21 Mrs C M Stilwell was given per ¬ mission by the stewards and by the Illinois Racing Commission to sell Kuvera to Run ¬ ning W Ranch for 1000 as her husband who claimed Kuvera from Running W Ranch for 1000 on June 20 died during the running of the race in which he claimed the horse horseJune June 22 Sparkling Rose was disqualified from third money in the first race but jockey J McCoy being exonerated by the patrol judge and by jockey J Kacala whose mount Brother Lou was interfered with by Sparkling punishedJune Rose was not punished June 23 The transfer of the horse Black Fool from Mrs J Miller to Mrs P Kelley was approved by the Illinois Racing Com ¬ mission missionC C J FitzGerald v C Bruce Head HeadRobert Robert M Sweitzer Stewards
