HAPPY SCOT OHIO SURPRISE Hudson Racer Finds Sloppy Going at atBainbridge Bainbridge Park to His Liking Stormy Weather CLEVELAND Ohio June 14 Finding the sloppy going to his liking S D Hud ¬ sons Happy Scot provided a real surprise for Bainbridge Park patrons when he scored a decisive jvictory over the best field start ¬ ing this afternoon taking the fourth race a dash of six furlongs furlongsServant Servant Pride was a factor to the far turn after which Happy Scot drew away into a commanding lead never to be threat ¬ ened thereafter Dark Roamer well backed raced into second place as Servant Pride tired in the final furlong Grattan performed below expectations expectationsFollowing Following an electric storm at the out ¬ set the weather became hot and sultry threatening additional rain The changed going was responsible for numerous upsets Due to the Ladies Day turnout the at ¬ tendance was improved improvedClosing Closing with a well timed rush outside in the stretch in the fifth Wild Transit overhauled El Cajon the early pacemaker and Siski in turn to eventually score going away Sisko was a handy second while El Cajon finished well in advance of the re ¬ mainder mainderAn An electrical storm broke over the course as the field was called for the first race sending every one scurrying for shelter shelterThe The race was run in a driving rain mak ¬ ing it impossible to determine the colors accurately Itwas certain that Vonnie led by a safe margin throughout Judge Dixon and Avail appeared to have raced closely lapped in closest pursuit and Judge Dixon proved the gamer in the final test for sec ¬ ond Moving up with a rush on the outside at the far turn Game took command entering the stretch in the second race and drew away through the final furlong to an easy victory Coming steadily from the rear dur ¬ ing the run home Chilow outstayed Prince Black and Veritas for the place award after both had raced prominently from the start startWigrose Wigrose set out to make a runaway affair of the third race but Brown Ray raced up into contention when a furlong out This pair contested the issue closely lapped all during the last hundred yards and Brown Ray eventually earned the verdict by half a length after a spirited finish Patricia C was always in closest pursuit
