REINSTATE JOCKEYS AT SALEM SALEM N H June 14 After an ex ¬ haustive investigation into all phases of the race of June 3 in which jockeys J Maiben and C Critchfield were suspended for un ¬ satisfactory riding the stewards today re reI I stored the riders to good standing It was concluded by the stewards that it was a case of poor judgment on the part of Maiben in making his run too late with Furf iber and andr r of incompetent riding on the part of Critch ¬ field astride Rough Party who was some ¬ what hindered by the instructions of trainer J Y Christmas to lay off the pace about four lengths Critchfield restrained the mare some eight or ten lengths off the pace and then could not move forward when he called on Rough Party Maiben was restored to toI I privileges June 10 and Critchfield was re ¬ stored to good standing today
